LESSON #142: Rejections come and go, but giving up I won’t.

The point is, I can’t tell you how to succeed. But I can tell you how not to: Give in to the shame of being rejected and put your manuscript—or painting, song, voice, dance moves, [insert passion here]—in the coffin that is your bedside drawer and close it for good. I guarantee you that it won’t take you anywhere. Or you could do what this writer did: Give in to your obsession instead.

~Kathryn Stockett

LESSON #141: Milkshakes are totally my thing now.

I’m not a big fan of strawberries. I am really not. Maybe because I have issues with eating anything in pink (strawberry ice-cream and the likes) and anything which tastes sour. But McDee’s strawberry sundae is in. Since I’ve started working, I was a bit curious with how famous milkshakes actually are. It doesn’t look appealing to me at all, so no way I would order one for myself. I’ve tasted a vanilla version from McDee and it was mehhh (eventhough mehhhh actually means having it everyday when I worked in this beauty store once), but I never tasted the strawberry version due to my certain unlikeness towards strawberries.

And you know all the hatred words I’ve said about strawberries?

Boy I was effin wrong.

Last weekend was it. It was so busy at work so I only managed to get a sip. But it was so dreamy, it really was. It was light and fluffy and not sickening like how I thought it would be. Its more than just ice-cream and milk blended together. Wayyy more than that. Its perfection.

The one at my workplace, at least.

Looks can be pretty deceiving, actually.

LESSON #138: Its possible to get a migraine after much photocopying.

Eff you copy machine. Eff you.

LESSON#135: There’s always a first in anything.

Like hating your job for the first time.

Like having an emotional breakdown because of your job for the first time.
